Freeform is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (CNC Machining) based in Hawthorne, CA, to develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for complex metal components, including post-processing of 3D printed parts, using DMG Mori and Haas machines to enhance efficiency, quality, and repeatability.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with hands-on CNC experience; thrive in a fast-paced, vertically integrated setting offering strong stock options and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Experience with CNC programming and machining (internships acceptable).
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for complex metal components, including post-processing of 3D printed parts
Program, set up, and refine operations on multi-axis CNC machines (DMG Mori and Haas)
Interpret CAD models and GD&T specs to create precise machining programs
Select cutting tools and tuning speeds/feeds for efficiency and repeatability
Collaborate with machinists and design engineers to troubleshoot issues
Maintain CNC program libraries and process documentation
Support automation to improve quality and production rates
