Professional Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain production processes, equipment, and workflows for efficiency, quality, and safety.

The role requires 4+ years CNC experience, CNC programming, and proficiency in Mastercam/SOLIDWORKS, with a BS in engineering or substantial related experience. Full-time on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or 10+ years related experience.
• 4+ years CNC experience.
• 4+ years CNC programming experience.
• 4+ years Mastercam/SOLIDWORKS experience.
• Lean manufacturing training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for production runs on mills, lathes, and routers.
• Modify existing programs and make manual adjustments as necessary.
• Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
• Train on setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines.
• Design fixtures and tooling.
• Write setup instructions and tool lists to optimize setup time.
• Observe machine operation on trial runs to improve cycle times.
• Create job travelers and manufacturing operations from material to outside processes.
• Analyze drawings to determine best program and process for precision parts.
• Provide engineering support with drawings and digital models to meet deadlines.
• Assist in lean manufacturing cell design to optimize space and utilization.
