Job summary

Klein Tools seeks a capable CNC operator to set up and run milling/grinding and other semi-automated equipment, ensuring output matches specifications. You will inspect parts during production, read orders/blueprints, and document results. Cross-training and lean practices support efficiency and product quality.

Applicants should have basic English, math and computer skills, and willingness to work overtime as needed. This is a full-time on-site role in Texas.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge in operating CNC, milling, grinding, and press operation machines preferred.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Basic math and computer skills; perform visual quality inspections.
• Learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents.
• Communicate and work as a team member.
• Overtime may be required by the company.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on CNC milling/grinding, induction, assembly, or other semi-automated equipment; adjust final product per work instructions to meet quality standards.
• Inspect product for quality using micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, and visual inspection; record downtime and shift communications.
• Read work orders and blueprints; verify BOMs and inventory transactions.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate defects to technical staff.
• Perform routine machine set-ups, changeovers, and adjustments to meet specs.
• Report production parts, scrap and labor hours via paperwork or electronic entry.
• Comply with 6S standards; participate in lean manufacturing activities to improve products and reduce waste.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and areas.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
