Job summary

Phoenix Mecano Group in Frederick, MD is hiring a probationary Machine Operator to set up and run CNC and manual machines according to established standards, methods, and programs to meet customer expectations and on-time delivery. Starting wage is $20 per hour, with a $1.00 per hour increase after the 90-day training review.

Ideal candidates will read drawings and blueprints, verify programs, measure parts, and prepare finished goods for the next operation or shipment, while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Ability to set up CNC and manual machines per job order.
• Ability to read drawings, BOMs and routers.
• Familiarity with G and M code adjustments (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail for measurements and quality.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and verify programs with fixtures.
• Run machines to complete production orders within standard times.
• Measure and inspect parts to meet requirements and standards.
• Prepare finished product for next operation or shipment.
• Comply with health and safety requirements.
• Complete production paperwork using a scanner and computer to log time.
• Participate in and support improvement projects within production.
• Assist in other cells as required (assembly, surface treatment).
• Maintain tooling area in an organized manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
