Randstad USA seeks a CNC & Equipment Maintenance Specialist to keep high-precision machinery running with minimal downtime. You will tune, align, and test pallet changers and axes, while diagnosing complex subsystems to prevent failures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Proficient with test equipment, hand/power tools, and fabrication basics.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, LOTO, and forklift/scissor lift operation.

Responsibilities

  • Precision tuning, alignment of pallet changers, axes, and tolerance checks.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems down to individual components.
  • Execute preventative maintenance and plant installations balancing routine upkeep with repairs.
  • Source parts and manage CMMS work orders.
  • Support shop floor with forklifts, hoists, and lifts.
  • Uphold OSHA/LOTO safety and foster a teamwork-focused environment.

Core Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years in industrial equipment maintenance, electromechanical repairs, or complex machinery diagnostics.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Hands-On Skills: Proficient with specialized test equipment, hand/power tools, and basic fabrication or shop tools.
  • Safety & Equipment Operation: Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and comfortable operating forklifts or scissor lifts.
Bonus Points For
  • CNC Specialty: Direct experience repairing, aligning, and troubleshooting CNC machine tools (vertical/horizontal mills, lathes).

Responsibilities
  • Precision Tuning & Alignment: Calibrate pallet changers, linear/rotary axes, and perform checks for flatness, alignment, and tooling offsets to keep tolerances razor-sharp.
  • Component-Level Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems down to individual components to minimize machine downtime.
  • Proactive & Preventative Care: Execute systematic PM schedules, balancing routine upkeep with emergency repairs and new equipment installations.
  • Parts & CMMS Management: Sourcing needed replacement components through trusted vendors and tracking work orders accurately in the CMMS.
  • Facility & Utility Support: Assist with broader shop floor equipment and utility maintenance as needed, operating support machinery like forklifts, hoists, and scissor lifts.
  • Safety & Team Leadership: Maintain strict OSHA/LOTO safety standards while fostering a supportive, team-first environment on the floor.
