Job summary

Sdms is seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on CNC machines, with responsibility for preventive maintenance and timely repairs to minimize downtime.

We value hands-on experience with CNC equipment, spindle and ball screw repairs, and knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC controls. The role may include 12-hour or weekend shifts as needed and requires strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC maintenance experience.
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on CNC machinery.
• 2–3 years acceptable for strong foundation and smaller repairs.

Responsibilities

• Replace and repair ball screws
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with CNC machinery
• Perform spindle repairs
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on sensors, drives, and relays

Job description

CNC Maintenance Technician

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on CNC maintenance experience who can troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical issues on CNC machinery.

We are also open to 2nd or 3rd year technicians who have a strong foundation and are capable of handling smaller repairs.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
• Potential for 12-hour days, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Occasional weekend work

Key Responsibilities

• Replace and repair ball screws
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with CNC machinery
• Perform spindle repairs
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on sensors, drives, and relays
• Troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC controls
• Troubleshoot pump systems
• Perform B-axis rebuilds
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues

Qualifications

• CNC machine maintenance experience preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• Experience with CNC drives, sensors, relays, and pump systems
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC controls
• Experience with ball screws, spindles, and CNC axis repairs
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

We will consider technicians with 2-3 years of experience who have the technical ability and hands‑on skills to perform smaller CNC repairs.
