Job summary

Sdmsconnect is seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician in Michigan to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on CNC machinery. The role welcomes 2nd or 3rd year technicians with a solid foundation for handling smaller repairs.

Primary duties include ball screw and spindle work, sensor and drive troubleshooting, PLC controls, and preventative maintenance. The position supports a hands-on team environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• CNC machine maintenance experience required or strong foundation for mid-level technicians.
• Solid mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience desired.
• Experience with CNC drives, sensors, relays, and pump systems.
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC controls.

Responsibilities

• Replace and repair ball screws and spindles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on CNC machinery.
• Perform spindle repairs and repairs on sensors, drives, and relays.
• Troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC controls and pump systems.
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC equipment.

Job description

CNC Maintenance Technician

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on CNC maintenance experience who can troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical issues on CNC machinery.

We are also open to 2nd or 3rd year technicians who have a strong foundation and are capable of handling smaller repairs.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
• Potential for 12-hour days, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Occasional weekend work

Key Responsibilities

• Replace and repair ball screws
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with CNC machinery
• Perform spindle repairs
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on sensors, drives, and relays
• Troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC controls
• Troubleshoot pump systems
• Perform B-axis rebuilds
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC equipment

Qualifications

• CNC machine maintenance experience preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• Experience with CNC drives, sensors, relays, and pump systems
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC controls
• Experience with ball screws, spindles, and CNC axis repairs
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

We will consider technicians with 2-3 years of experience who have the technical ability and hands-on skills to perform smaller CNC repairs.
