HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO is seeking a CNC Trainer to lead classroom and hands-on training for CNC machining disciplines at our East Hartford, CT plant. The role combines teaching with practical shop floor guidance, serving as a subject matter expert to apprentices and machinists.

1st or 2nd shift, with on-site work only. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in training or leadership and at least 5 years hands-on CNC experience across turning, Swiss turning, mill-turn and milling, plus

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of training or leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on CNC machining (turning, Swiss turning, mill-turn, milling).
• Strong CNC programming, setup and operation knowledge.
• Clear communication and ability to convey complex information.

Responsabilidades

• Design and deliver CNC training programs combining classroom and hands-on sessions.
• Assess trainee performance and provide feedback with improvement plans.
• Maintain up-to-date CNC technology knowledge and integrate updates into curriculum.
• Serve as SME on the manufacturing floor, guiding apprentices and machinists.
• Create work instructions and training aids to improve operator effectiveness.
