Job summary

Prince Industries in Carol Stream, IL, seeks a CNC Machinist – Set Up Operator to run CNC milling machines, set up tooling, and produce precision parts. You will report to the Production Manager and ensure parts meet specifications using GD&T and precision hand tools.

We offer competitive pay between $27 and $32 per hour, with OT opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Carol Stream location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a CNC field with set up preferred.
• Experience in vertical and horizontal milling machine setup.
• Ability to read GD&T blueprints to specification.
• Tolerance: ±0.0005” diameter; ±0.001” length.

Responsibilities

• Machine setup, operation, startup, and tooling adjustments.
• Verify conformance of parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Secure tooling/workholding; manage offsets and part zero.
• Set speed and feed per part specifications; basic maintenance.
• Load tools and adjust diameters for tool radius compensation.
• Install workholding; support department needs as required.
