Job summary

Prince Industries in Illinois is seeking a CNC Machinist I to operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders, producing precision parts per drawings and specifications.

The role requires reading GD&T, setup proficiency on FMS machinery, and strong math skills. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of CNC experience, with willingness to overtime to meet deadlines. ITAR compliant, U.S. persons only.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years CNC experience; setup experience preferred.
• Ability to read GD&T blueprints; interpret drawings to tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformance of work piece to specifications using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Secure tooling and hold pieces; position in fixtures or machine table.
• Observe daily machine maintenance and coolant systems; keep equipment clean.
• Assist with department transfers to meet production needs.
