Job summary

Komatsu in Kentucky is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate manual lathes, drill presses and small universal mills, and to program CNC equipment for a variety of components. You will read prints and measure parts with precision instruments to ensure tight tolerances.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC equipment, performing inspections with micrometers, calipers and dial indicators, and maintaining safety and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years machine shop experience including technical school.
• Experience in turning, boring, facing and thread cutting.
• Must be able to set up, program and operate CNC equipment to produce quality parts to print.
• Able to read prints and use micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Able to work any shift and overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program CNC Machining equipment to make and/or repair a variety of components.
• Work from prints to make a variety of components.
• Perform other assignments at the direction of departmental supervision.
• Obey all safety rules and perform housekeeping functions.
