Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in machine tool technology preferred.
• At least 1 year reading blueprints and using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machine centers and other metal-removal machines per process set by Manufacturing Engineering.
• Work on multiple job assignments at different workstations.
• Start and observe operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls accordingly.
• Verify finished parts against specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Set up and run trial operations to verify machine settings.
• Assemble parts into complete units using hand and power tools and fixtures.
• Verify dimensions and alignment with micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
• Install machined parts in mechanisms and test unit operation for performance.
