Job summary

Helogen is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II to join our Los Angeles facility, focusing on machining, fabrication, mechanical assembly, and hardware integration alongside a small team of engineers and operators.

You will independently set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills, fabricate parts and tooling, assemble systems, and work with engineers to iterate prototypes in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve as hardware develops.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on CNC machining or related field
• Ability to read drawings and interpret tolerances
• Proficiency with CNC programming and CAM software
• Experience with precision measurement tools
• Autonomous with strong ownership of work

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills from drawings and specs.
• Prepare CNC programs and CAM toolpaths, select tools and workholding.
• Machine aluminum, stainless steel, engineering plastics, and perform finishing operations.
• Assemble mechanical components and hardware per drawings and procedures.
• Support electromechanical system integration and testing.
• Collaborate with engineers to iterate prototypes.
• Support 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
• Maintain machines and workspace, ensuring safety and organization.
• Perform incoming inspections and assist with testing/packaging
