True Anomaly, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist in Long Beach, CA to help stand up and expand our high-end machine shop. You will select tooling, set up 5-axis CNC mills, and define processes that enable rapid iteration of aerospace components for space hardware.

You will work closely with engineering to push manufacturability, maintain tight tolerances, and implement robust metrology. This role emphasizes early-stage prototyping, with a focus on quality and efficient production in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Proficient in 5-axis milling and multi-axis programming.
• Experience reading GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Background in an R&D or prototype-heavy environment.
• Strong CAD skills: SolidWorks/CATIA or similar.
• Experience with aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and composites.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate 5-axis CNC mills, lathes, and other CNC machines.
• Develop toolpaths with Mastercam, Esprit, or HyperMill.
• Prototype hardware with rapid iteration alongside engineers.
• Lead machine shop build-out including tooling and fixtures.
• Provide DFM input to reduce cost and lead time.
• Maintain tight tolerances and inspect own work.
• Collaborate with structures, propulsion, avionics, and test teams.
