Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a CNC Machinist - Programming in Danbury, CT on the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm). The role offers $30.04/hr with a comprehensive benefits plan including medical, dental, life, and more.

You will perform setup, changeover, write and adjust machine programs, read blueprints, and ensure quality through gauges and inspections. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of CNC experience, strong G-code skills, and the ability to read drawings and setup sheets.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of CNC experience (full setups).
• Ability to read, write and work with G-codes and edit machine programs for assigned equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, specifications, and production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, changeover, tooling changes, and routine process adjustments.
• Operate assigned machine shop equipment and processes in accordance with approved procedures, training, and production requirements.
• Read and interpret work instructions, setup sheets, blueprints, specifications, and production documentation.
• Write, edit, and/or adjust machine programs as required for assigned equipment and production needs.
• Read, understand, and apply G-code in support of setup, program correction, and machining operations.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final checks as assigned using approved gauges and measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot routine machining, tooling, and quality issues and elevate non-routine issues appropriately.
• Assist in training or guiding less experienced operators as assigned.
