Job summary

thyssenkrupp rothe erde is seeking a 1st shift machinist to perform operation, setup, and programming tasks on a machining center. You will plan workflows, interpret drawings, and ensure parts meet GD&T requirements through precise measurement and inspection.

Candidate must have prior machining experience, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T. Familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens interfaces is beneficial for operation and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and prior machining experience.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T is required.
• Familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate machining center and plan machining sequences.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications through measurement and inspection.
• Understand and apply GD&T requirements for processes.
• Perform machine setup and program download/edit.
• Navigate CNC controls to optimize operations.
• Maintain 6S standards in the work cell.
• Support continuous improvement and CI activities.
