Klein Tools in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate Tool Room equipment and CNC machines to fabricate and assemble parts. You will read blueprints, select fixtures and tools, and run programs to produce precision components on a tight schedule.

Candidate should have at least 1 year of CNC experience, knowledge of shop math, and the ability to verify parts with micrometers and gauges. This on-site role offers an hourly wage and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience or apprenticeship is required.
• Knowledge of set up and operations of CNC machines a plus.
• Ability to weld is a plus.
• Employee required having own tools.
• Knowledge of English language.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all Tool Room equipment and CNC machines to fabricate parts and assemble into complete units.
• Read blueprints and sketches to determine dimensions and tolerances; verify with measuring tools.
• Select fixtures and tools, adjust speeds/feeds, and execute programmed operations.
• Verify conformance of finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Inspects and measures parts to maintain quality; communicate issues with engineers and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
