Job summary

Qualifications

Trade school or work experience/apprenticeship (2–4 years) required.
Able to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
Able to plan and execute a sequence of operations with standard methods.
Must supply own tools.
Able to work well with others.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses why machine malfunctioned and determines need for adjustment or repair.
Dismantle machine or equipment using hand/power tools to inspect parts.
Replace defective parts and reassemble.
Assemble and test-operate machine to verify correction.
Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment.
Assemble and weld auxiliary pieces as required.
Burn to remove various components as required.
Inspect and measure finished parts to verify repairs.
Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Other duties as assigned by supervision.
Conduct PM's as assigned.
