Job summary

Douglas Dynamics, LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will operate manual and CNC tools to produce components for welding and fabrication, program, setup, and adjust CNC milling and turning machines, and contribute to on-time delivery.

This role emphasizes quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to train at Douglas Dynamics University and advance within a company that values teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• Technical school certification in Machining preferred.
• Well-developed written and oral communications.
• Must be able to communicate complex issues clearly.
• Microsoft Office skills. Must be able to access data bases and retrieve files.
• Ability to perform algebraic and trigonometric calculations, metric conversions.
• Must have logical and mathematical reasoning.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, prefer ability to weld, ability to set up, program and operate CNC machine centers and other equipment. Understanding basic speed and feed calculations.
• Must be able to identify equipment issues, analyze the root cause, and develop a repair plan.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, ability to reach, bend and twist. Must be able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools to process raw materials into tooling components.
• Program, setup, and adjust CNC milling and CNC turning machinery for high-quality parts.
• Actively participate in team activities and support immediate production needs.
• Manage CNC programs and historical information on a network database.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards and participate in training.
• Collaborate with teammates across the organization to deliver results.
