Job summary

Abraservice in Alabama is seeking a CNC Machinist to load/unload materials, operate CNC mills and lathes, and monitor quality. You will maintain logs, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot basic machine issues while following safety protocols.

The role requires 1-2+ years of CNC experience, a High School diploma, and strong attention to detail. Forklift and crane certifications are preferred; welding certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2+ years of CNC mills and lathes experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
• Familiar with quality control procedures and capable of inspections.
• Willingness to undergo training to stay updated in CNC techniques.
• Ability to communicate with customers and maintain organization.
• Working knowledge of measurement tools (caliper, micrometer).
• Forklift experience; crane and welding certifications preferred.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Enter CNC programs by creating new ones or using existing programs to control cutting.
• Load and unload raw materials on the CNC machine.
• Monitor the machine during operation and adjust for quality.
• Inspect finished parts against specs with measuring tools.
• Perform cleaning, maintenance and lubrication of CNC machines.
• Maintain production logs with machine settings and quality data.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues or escalate to maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and keep a clean, organized work area.
