Job description

• Set up and operate CNC Mazak lathes and Mazak Integrex mill / turn machines.
• Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, radius pins, height gauges).
• Continuously evaluate processes to reduce setup and cycle times, driving efficiency improvements.
• Monitor machine operations, perform tool changes, deburr parts, and document production data on travelers.
• Accurately complete all required job documentation and part records.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, collaborate with support teams, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an aerospace machine shop environment.
• Advanced proficiency in machining practices and metrology.
• Strong understanding of aerospace & defense (A&D) engineering drawings and GD&T principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Mazak and Okuma machine interfaces preferred.
• Mazatrol programming experience, particularly with Mazatrol Smooth controls, is a plus.

Key Skills and Knowledge :

• Deep knowledge of machining processes, with a focus on Mazak Integrex mill / turn operations.
• Expertise in CNC and manual machining, including fixturing and tooling setup.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness and flexibility to work overtime or extended hours as needed to meet production deadlines.
• Proficient in shop math, blueprint reading, and fixture repair.
• Familiarity with cutting tools and advanced machining techniques.
