  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
  • Make minor program edits and adjustments to ensure quality output.
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Monitor production and troubleshoot issues during machining.
  • Perform basic maintenance on machines and keep equipment clean and operational.
  • Maintain documentation of work performed and quality checks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in training junior machinists as needed.
Required qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC machinery (mill and/or lathe).
  • Familiarity with G-code programming and ability to make minor edits.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with quality control procedures and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work from setup sheets and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Good math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Preferred qualifications:
