Apollopros is seeking a experienced Machinist/Machine Operator III for the 2nd shift in Colorado Springs. The role focuses on setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills to produce precision aerospace components.

You will read drawings, verify tolerances, and adjust offsets to ensure conformance with engineering specs. The position requires 3+ years of CNC experience, live tooling capability, and strong measurement skills.

Formación

• Experience operating single-turret or twin-spindle CNC lathes with live tooling.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of basic work instructions and manufacturing processes.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, rotary tooling, sanding devices, manual deburring tools, and wrenches.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, electronic height gauges, and fixed gauges.
• Intermediate shop math skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, timekeeping, and production reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• 3+ years of experience setting up, troubleshooting, and operating CNC lathes and mills.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, and manual equipment.
• Set up and run multiple machines and operations to produce precision parts within print tolerances.
• Make offset adjustments to maintain engineering specifications.
• Complete Certified Operator training and testing.
• Maintain measuring instruments and machining equipment.
• Maintain proper cutting conditions on machining centers.
• Meet or exceed required production/output hours.
• Use fixtures, gauges, and precision measuring equipment to perform dimensional checks.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Coordinate work activities with co-workers and supervisors.
• Perform other assigned duties and work overtime as needed.
