Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our operations team in Washington. You will operate and set up CNC machines, interpret drawings with GD&T, and ensure parts meet engineering requirements while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

The role requires hands-on experience, problem solving, and collaboration with engineering and programming teams to drive continuous improvement and reliable manufacturing results.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of CNC machining experience.
Minimum of one year of manual machine experience.
Ability to interpret standard engineering drawings and GD&T.
Proficiency with shop math including trigonometry.

Responsibilities

Execute low to medium-complexity machining tasks with quality workmanship.
Document processes and best practices for repeatability.
Troubleshoot problems with programming and engineering teams.
Set up mid-to-high complexity jobs with manual and automated methods.
Operate CNC machines to produce hardware meeting specs.
Suggest process improvements and contribute to team solutions.
Comply with safety, quality, and leadership principles.
