Job summary

Collins Aerospace in San Marcos, TX has a Machinist III position on the 2nd shift. You will produce machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC, and using precision hand tools. This role requires interpreting blueprints and GD&T and ensuring quality through inspections.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) or equivalent vocational/technical education with some experience.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and geometric tolerances for machining.
• Familiar with using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and set up tooling to fabricate machined parts.
• Inspect work using precision measuring tools and maintain quality records.
• Read engineering drawings and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform machining setups and adjustments as required.
