Job summary

Edwards Vacuum seeks an experienced CNC Machinist III to lead advanced machining operations, mentor teammates, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of CNC experience, strong reading of blueprints, GD&T, and programming basics, plus proven troubleshooting and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Your role

CNC Machinist III are highly skilled professionals responsible for advanced machining operations, mentoring others, and contributing to technical problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires leadership, deep technical expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertly operate and troubleshoot HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines across various part families.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in safety, quality, and SOP compliance.
• Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex machining or process issues.
• Champion 6S workplace practices and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead root‑cause analysis in collaboration with engineers and team leaders when technical issues arise.
• Mentor and train junior machinists, supporting skill development and team knowledge transfer.
• Recommend process optimizations and support pilot runs or new setups as needed.
