Job summary

Edwards Vacuum is seeking a CNC Machinist II at our Genesee facility in Buffalo, NY. You will operate a range of CNC machines, including HMCs, mill-turns, grinders and balancers, with limited supervision while contributing to process improvements.

You should have 4–8 years of CNC machining experience, strong knowledge of G‑code and M‑code, and teamwork and problem‑solving skills to support a culture of safety and quality. Sponsorship is not provided for visas.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines with minimal supervision.
• Consistently follow all safety, quality, and SOP requirements.
• Identify and report process inefficiencies or equipment issues.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization (6S) in assigned work areas.
• Provide feedback to engineers and team leads on recurring issues and potential improvements.
• Assist in mentoring and training Tier 1 machinists.
• Accurately interpret blueprints, perform in-process inspections, and make basic offsets or adjustments.

• Salary Range: $28.85 - $47.60

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.

Your role

CNC Machinist II are expected to operate a variety of CNC machines independently, troubleshoot common issues, and contribute to process improvements. This role requires sound judgment, intermediate technical skills, and active engagement in problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently operate HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines with minimal supervision.
