Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist II to operate, set up, and maintain CNC machines, ensuring high-quality parts and adherence to safety standards. The role requires aligning with continuous improvement and customer-driven goals while meeting production metrics.

You will handle tooling changes, perform precise measurements, and work in a team-oriented environment dedicated to 5S and GMP practices. A GED or equivalent and 3+ years of CNC experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC Machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and Set-up CNC machines within tolerances following work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of various parts and metals with very close tolerances.
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets and adjustments for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by applying OOQ standards and using measuring equipment to interpret readings.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and follow PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing and maintain GMP/GDP compliance with job routers/cards.
• Identify and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues and maintain safety practices.
• Aim to achieve productivity targets and seek improvements in processes.
• Record all activities in the job tracking system and support continuous improvement.
• Elevate manufacturing issues to supervision and participate in resolutions.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
