Job summary

Woodward is seeking Machinist I or II to operate CNC and manual machines, producing precision metal parts according to engineering blueprints. The role requires basic GD&T knowledge, precision measuring tools, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Training is provided, with second shift hours 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM and initial training mornings 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM. The position emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and adherence to 5S practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent.
• 1-3+ years of CNC Machining experience.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and basic GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to interpret work instructions and maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC or Manual (Lathes/Milling/Swiss/Grinding-OD/ID) machines to produce precision metal parts.
• Perform basic setup and supporting operations per procedures.
• Conduct 1st piece inspections and assist training as needed.
• Follow detailed work instructions and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain 5S organization and collaborate with team to improve processes.
