Pelican Products, Inc. in South Deerfield, MA is seeking a Machinist II for the 3rd shift. You will program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts, while driving quality and continuous improvement in the shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Select tooling and machining strategies to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Edit and optimize CNC programs to improve performance and parts quality.
• Perform manual machining on Bridgeport-style equipment when required.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
• Maintain production records and support quality documentation.
