Job summary

CIRCOR International is seeking a 2nd shift Machinist to set up and operate CNC and manual lathes/mills. You will edit programs, adjust speeds/feeds, and verify dimensions against blueprints using precision tools.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of machining experience, can read drawings, understand G/M codes, and operate measuring gauges. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to EHS standards.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of machining experience required.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC machines.
• Understanding of G and M codes.
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints and determine missing dimensions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• PLC knowledge to edit programs.
• Knowledge of manual secondary equipment (drill press, saw, punch press).
• Ability to operate lathes and/or mills and hold tolerances ±0.001".
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and comply with EHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC or manual lathes/mills to meet production requirements.
• Edit programs, speeds and feeds.
• Check dimensions against drawings using precision instruments.
• Train entry level machinists.
• Report problems to supervisor and maintain a clean 6S workspace.
• Follow safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
