Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a Level 1 Machinist to operate 2-5 axis CNC lathes/mills with Fanuc controls. You will set up fixtures, load programs, measure with calipers/micrometers, read blueprints, and ensure conformance to specs.

The role supports 3rd shift with potential first-shift training and shift differentials. Must read drawings, adjust controls, and maintain tool and machine maintenance. Prior machining experience preferred; 3rd shift requires flexibility and commitment to safety

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine machining dimensions and tolerances.
• Operate CNC lathe/mill with Fanuc controls and set up fixtures and tools.
• Maintain safe operations and adhere to quality assurance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read prints and set up fixtures, tools, and offsets for machining.
• Load programs, adjust speeds/feeds, and monitor tool wear and coolant levels.
• Inspect parts for dimensional conformance and document results.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization on the shop floor (6S) and adhere to safety rules.
