Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathe and milling machines, perform a variety of machining operations, edit programs, and verify dimensions against drawings using precision tools.

The role requires 2–5 years of machining experience, ability to read blueprints, knowledge of G and M codes, and a willingness to work the 2nd shift. You will work in a 6S manufacturing environment and support quality and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in machining.
• Able to set up and operate CNC machines.
• Understand G codes and M codes.
• Able to read drawings and blueprints, calculate dimensions not given.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers).
• Knowledge of controllers to edit programs.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and drawings, obtain fixtures and tools for preparation.
• Set up and operate CNC or manual lathes/mills to meet production requirements.
• Set up and operate manual lathes/mills for standard tasks per drawings.
• Edit programs, speeds and feeds.
• Use manual tools to deburr and degrease.
• Set-up and operate drill presses and punch presses as needed.
• Check tolerances and align parts to +/- 0.001
• Maintain 6S standard and report problems to supervisor.
