Edwards Vacuum in Buffalo, NY is seeking a CNC Machinist I to learn operating CNC equipment and develop foundational machining skills. You will support production by following defined procedures and collaborating with experienced machinists and engineers.

Responsibilities include operating HMC/mill-turn/grinder/balancer under supervision, following safety and quality protocols, and maintaining clean, safe work areas per 6S.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of machining experience or technical education/certification in CNC machining.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and receive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Operate HMC, mill-turn, grinder, or balancer machines under supervision; seek assistance when encountering operational issues.
• Follow standard safety protocols and quality procedures.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area in alignment with 6S principles.
• Collaborate with Cell Support Engineers and Team Leaders to identify and resolve basic issues.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs.
