Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist I to produce machined parts by operating CNC machines, following drawings, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and Lean principles within a team-driven culture.

Responsibilities include setting up tooling, maintaining equipment, recording activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to GMP/GDP, 5S, and safety practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment.
• Associate degree or certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.
• Change dull tooling, and/or make minor offsets and adjustments as needed for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by working to OOQ standards and using a range of measuring equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Identify and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues.
• Achieve productivity targets and identify ways to improve productivity.
• Record all activities in the job tracking system.
• Support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing issues with supervision.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards.
