Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist I to produce precision parts by operating CNC equipment, reading drawings and ensuring quality. You will perform routine maintenance, hand finishing, and GMP/GDP-compliant documentation while maintaining 5S and safe work practices.

You should have a high school diploma or GED and production experience; an associate degree or machinist apprenticeship is preferred. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Production environment experience preferred.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within tolerances per work instructions and drawings.
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets for wear.
• Use measuring equipment and inspect reports to ensure quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and follow PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing and document work per GMP/GDP.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping and safe working practices.
• Record activities on the job tracking system and support CI.
• Identify and escalate manufacturing issues to supervisor.
