Job summary

Gexpro Services is seeking a CNC Machinist I in Theodore, AL to operate CNC machinery safely and accurately, loading parts, changing tooling, reading blueprints, and programming setups under supervision. You will assist in inspections and ensure safety, quality, and scheduling targets are met.

The role requires a High School Diploma or machining certification and 1–2 years' CNC experience; English fluency is essential, with ability to read measurements in standard and metric units.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, certification or technical school in Machining.
• 1–2 years of experience working with CNC machines or in a manufacturing plant preferred.
• Mechanical Aptitude and ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Experience with lathes, mills, plasma machines and hand tools is a plus.
• Ability to read metric and standard measurements and use measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and blueprints to machine products accurately.
• Assist in inspections of equipment, materials, and products.
• Load raw materials and parts onto machines and monitor operations.
• Adjust tools and machine settings to meet specifications.
• Set up mills and lathes by installing fixtures and tools as needed.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify conformance to specs.
• Document actions by completing production work orders.
• Maintain machines and keep work area clean.
