Job summary

LifePort in Woodland, WA seeks an Apprentice Machinist to learn CNC operations and quality inspection. The program includes on‑the‑job training plus related coursework with Lower Columbia College to become a journey‑level machinist.

You will read engineering drawings, measure parts with calipers and micrometers, adhere to safety policies, and support a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while developing highly sought skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; provide proof of attainment.
• Age 18+; able to perform physical requirements with safety.
• Able to read engineering drawings and use basic measuring tools.
• Export Compliance: US Person per 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.

Responsibilities

• Operate and observe CNC machines; report discrepancies.
• Inspect first part run and confirm tolerance.
• Meet standard times with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Perform miscellaneous duties in machine shop.
