MicroPort seeks a Machinist to operate CNC/Manual machines (mills, lathes) and manufacture medical devices to precise specifications. This 2nd shift role includes a 5% shift premium and requires adherence to Quality Assurance standards, data entry into production systems, and routine maintenance.
Candidate should have basic blueprint reading, metrology skills, and the ability to work English-speaking teams. Prior experience with milling/turning and a strong work ethic are valued.

This is a 2nd shift position: 3:00-11:30pm, Monday-Friday, 5% shift premium

As a Machinist, you will work with tools, fixtures, and machines to manufacture medical devices from setup to operation. A working knowledge of manual machines (i.e., mills, lathes, grinders) and the ability to operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines is utilized to produce large volumes of medical devices made from metals, plastics or other materials.

Machinists must be able to understand units of measure in both metric and English; must be able to convert between the two. A basic understanding of manufacturing machines, metal deburring, and plastic trimming is required. The ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and other specialty tools used in machining processes is required.
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Technical School Training
Machinist I: 2 years or CNC Technical School Completion.
Machinist II: 4 years or 2 years & CNC Technical School Completion.
Senior Machinist: 5 years or 3 years & CNC Technical School Completion.
