Job summary

Leidos Defense Sector in Huntsville, AL seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to read drawings and CAD models and produce precision aerospace parts on CNC Mills and Lathes.

The role requires 3+ years of precision machining, ability to lift 35+ pounds, and the ability to work full-time 4 days (Mon-Thu) with overtime as needed; US citizenship and potential to obtain a Secret Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with at least 3 years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Regular attendance required.
• Applicants must be able to work full-time, 4 days Monday-Thursday, 10 hour shifts, with occasional overtime as operational needs demand.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts.
• Experience in manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials is a plus.
• 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus.
• Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
