Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Machinist for the 3rd shift at our Dayton, OH facility. You will machine aerospace components to required quality standards, following all processes and instructions to meet production targets.

The role requires setting up machines, tool changes, and offsets, collaborating with programming, quality, and support teams, and participating in LEAN initiatives. Must have a high school diploma and CNC experience, and be able to lift up to 35 lbs and work third shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year CNC machining experience or equivalent.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and Manufacturing Work Instructions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook.
• Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine set-ups, tool changes and offsets.
• Collaborate with Programming, Quality and support to develop processes.
• Suggest and implement process improvements and setup reduction initiatives.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Complete quality-related inspection requirements.
• Complete paperwork and documentation for quality conformance.
• Maintain and develop work instructions and process sheets.
• Participate in LEAN projects and activities.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
• Other assignments as needed.
