Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in the United States region. The role involves operating NC/CNC lathes and machining centers to perform turning, milling, drilling and precision finishing tasks, from routings and blueprints, while using precision instruments for setup and inspection.

Candidate should have 2+ years CNC turning experience, solid knowledge of CNC techniques, and ability to read blueprints. Hoists/cranes experience and willingness to acquire tools are expected.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate NC/CNC lathes or machining centers to perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming and various cuts.
• Work from routings, process sheets and blueprints and use precision instruments to set-up and inspect parts.
• Assist in establishing program requirements and adjust machines to correct deviations from specifications; report problems.
• Mount and secure tooling, fixtures and work pieces; help train new operators and run secondary operations when applicable.

Job Description:

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of NC/CNC controlled lathes or machining centers to perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming and angle and taper cuts to close tolerances and finish requirements.
• Work from routings, process sheets and blueprints. Use a variety of precision instruments to set-up and inspect work.
• Assist in establishing program requirements. Make machine adjustments to correct deviations from program specifications. Note and report program problems. Make adjustments to program where applicable.
• May recommend tooling arrangement, fixtures, operational sequences. Mount and secure tooling, align and secure fixtures, platens and work pieces. Help make set-up & instruct new or less qualified operators. Run secondary machine or auxiliary operations when applicable.

Requirements:

• Experience with Fanuc controls preferred.
• Solid knowledge of machine shop & CNC techniques.
• Two + years CNC turning experience.
• Solid background in shop math and blueprint reading.
• Experienced in use of hoists and cranes.
• Personal tools & willingness to buy tools as needed.
• Experience on large diameter vertical lathes helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 38 lbs.

Pay Details: $24.78 to $37.17 per hour
