Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC milling centers and conventional tooling to produce tight-tolerance hardware. You will collaborate with engineers on drawings, prepare work packages, and ensure quality and safety in a dynamic shop.

Responsibilities include programming with CAM software, configuring tooling and fixtures, and supporting both scheduled and walk-in work orders, while maintaining organized documentation and safe practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in programming three-, four-, and five-axis CNC machines.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC milling centers with multi-axis capabilities.
• Hands-on machining with lathes, mills, grinders, and similar equipment.
• Knowledge of tooling, jigs, fixtures, speeds, and feeds across materials.
• Ability to manage five-axis moves within CNC programs with proper clearances.

Responsibilities

• Program and setup three-, four-, and five-axis machine tools.
• Set up and operate CNC milling centers to produce precision components.
• Operate conventional machines: lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, band saws.
• Select tooling, determine speeds/feeds for materials.
• Verify five-axis move references and avoid crashes.
• Coordinate with engineers on drawings and revisions.
