Job summary

DRT Metal Packaging is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers for precision aerospace components in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

The role requires 3+ years of CNC experience, strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills, and the ability to program and run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines with careful inspection and documentation. A safety-first mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years CNC machining experience, preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Proficiency reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC equipment and G-code.
• Ability to perform machine setups with minimal supervision.
• Waterjet experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
• Perform tool offsets, adjustments, and minor program edits.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Maintain production documentation and quality records.
• Follow safety procedures and support 5S initiatives.
