Viant Medical Inc. is hiring a CNC Machinist in Massachusetts to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment for precision parts. Strong capability with 3–4 axis machines including Swiss, EDM and milling is valued.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to use typical inspection equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of most conventional equipment and machines.
• Able to read machine code and programs.
• Able to read most blueprints and operation sheets.
• Good understanding of shop math.
• Ability to use trigonometry on blueprints and operation sheets.
• Good understanding of geometric tolerances.
• Maintain organization to ISO operation procedures.
• Complete all job specific required training.
• Perform duties to achieve overall business unit metrics.

Responsabilités

• Set-up and operate 3 to 4 Axis CNC machines with fixturing and setups.
• Inspect finished work with minimal supervision.
• Train junior machinists on machining and inspection methods.
• Troubleshoot and adjust setups; document changes per procedure.
• Maintain dimensional integrity of parts and equipment.
• Ensure documentation for operations is complete and accurate.
• Update job travelers with changes to routings and runtimes.
• Participate in teams to achieve performance metrics.
• Maintain machine maintenance logs and compliance with safety rules.
