Job summary
K2 Ascend Solutions in Redford, MI is seeking CNC Machinists for 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) or (5:00pm-1:00am). You will operate CNC mills and lathes, perform setups, tool changes and part changeovers, and make basic program edits to ensure high-precision components for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

Qualifications
- CNC machining experience with mills and/or lathes
- Ability to perform minor programming edits, offsets and process adjustments
- Strong blueprint reading skills including GD&T
- Understanding of tooling, cutting parameters and machining best practices
- Detail-oriented with reliable attendance and teamwork
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills and/or lathes on 2nd shift
- Perform setups, tool changes and part changeovers
- Make basic program edits and offsets to maintain part quality
- Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, height gauges and other metrology tools
- Read and follow blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues
- Maintain production throughput and a clean, safe work area
