Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Mill Machinist in Tecumseh, MI, on the second shift from 2:30 pm to 1:00 am, Monday through Thursday. The role focuses on setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines, interpreting drawings, and ensuring precision in all machining steps.

Qualified candidates will have experience with Bridgeport, Mastercam, Haas, and manual machining, with a willingness to train on the first shift for 6–12 months.

Qualifications

• Experience with Bridgeport, Mastercam, Haas, and manual machining.
• Comfortable with training on first shift for 6 months to 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines for various machining processes.
• Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
• Set up and operate Bridgeport type mills.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.
• Cut, shape, and form metal parts using manual drill press, lathes, power saws, snips, files, sand blasters, surface grinders, and mallets.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
