Job summary

three14 group seeks an experienced CNC Machinist for its Aurora, OH shop on 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM) with a $2 HR shift differential. You will set up, program edit, and troubleshoot CNC mills/lathes, interpret complex drawings and GD&T, and produce precision components to spec.

You will select and maintain tooling, perform first-piece inspections, and collaborate with engineering to optimize processes. Strong math, tooling knowledge, and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining experience or equivalent
• Strong CNC setup and operation experience with minimal supervision
• Experience editing CNC programs, making offsets, and adjusting parameters
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
• Experience using precision measuring tools and performing dimensional inspections
• Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and tooling adjustments

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision components
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, machining specs, and GD&T requirements
• Edit CNC programs using G-code or conversational programming
• Establish zero points, tool offsets, compensation, and machining parameters
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
• Collaborate with production and engineering to improve processes and quality
