Job summary

Plastics Extrusion Machinery is seeking CNC Machinists to join their McPherson, KS team. The position offers a Monday-Friday first shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM) in a clean, climate-controlled environment with a $24-$29/hour pay scale and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, reading blueprints, selecting tools, performing first-piece inspections, and collaborating with engineers to produce precision components.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience operating CNC machines.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
Maintain a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to machine precision components according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and machining specifications.
Perform first-piece inspections and adjust as needed to meet tolerances.
Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
Monitor machining operations, troubleshoot setup or tooling issues, and adjust to maintain quality.
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and manufacturing team members.
