PEM (Plastics Extrusion Machinery) is hiring skilled CNC Machinists in McPherson, KS, offering a clean, climate-controlled environment and a Monday–Friday first-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.

• Use precision measuring tools to verify tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to machine precision components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform first-piece inspections and adjust as needed to meet tolerances.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality checks.
• Monitor operations and troubleshoot tool/setup issues to maintain quality and productivity.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep a clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with programmers, engineers and team members to produce complex parts.

Due to growth, Plastics Extrusion Machinery is seeking CNC Machinists to join their team in McPherson, KS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to machine precision components according to specifications.
• Select, install, and properly set cutting tools, fixtures, and machine offsets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and machining specifications.
• Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet required tolerances and quality standards.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Monitor machining operations, troubleshoot setup or tooling issues, and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Perform routine machine maintenance (maintain coolant and machine lubrication) maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work closely with programmers, engineers, and other manufacturing team members to successfully produce custom and complex components.
